May 5, 2017 – The International Marine Science Conference, organized by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO and hosted by the Colombian Ocean Commission, took place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia on April 24th and 25th, 2017.  This event was organized to celebrate the 35th anniversary of IOCaribe, the regional Sub-Commission of IOC-UNESCO covering the Caribbean and Adjacent Regions. Joint workshop with Brazilian government

February 13, 2017 – On 6 and 7 February 2017, representatives of the Brazilian Ministries of Environment, Foreign Affairs, Fisheries and other members of the Brazilian Inter-ministerial Commission for Sea Resources (CIRM) welcomed the Regional Coordinator of the UNDP/GEF CLME+ Project, Mr. Patrick Debels, and the Coordinator of the UN Environment’s Caribbean Environment Programme (Cartagena Convention), Dr. Lorna Inniss, in Brasilia, Brazil, for a 2-day joint workshop.
