UNDP Side Event at UN Ocean Conference Prep Meeting

February 17, 2017 – The CLME+ Project was represented at UNDP Side Event of the UN Preparatory Meeting for the Ocean Conference, that took place last Tuesday in New York. Representatives from UNDP/GEF International Waters and Biodiversity projects, presented ‘case studies’ highlighting such proven approaches that have succeeded in reversing large scale dead zones, moved global tuna stocks towards sustainability, reduced the impacts of shipping on the marine environment, and introduced integrated, ecosystem-based approaches to sustainable ocean and coastal management at both local and multi-country scales.
